Recent News from Avista Technologies .....
January 2008 - A statement concerning Reach legislation has been
released. It can be read here
October 2007 - Avista Technologies will be exhibiting at the
IDA Conference in Gran Canaria, at Stand No 2. In addition, we
have co-authored a paper on the Marbella pilot filtration study
to be presented by Stefan Rybar of Hydranautics.
May 2007 - Avista Technologies will be presenting a paper at
the EDS conference in Greece. Entitled "Pilot Filtration
Study to Reduce Fouling on Marbella Seawater RO Plant", it
shows the added value contribution Avista made in troubleshooting
a filtration system on a large sea water RO plant, working closely
with the membrane manufacturer and the plant operators to increase
membrane life and decrease cleaning events.
April 2007 - A further three pilot filters have been constructed
and are soon to be supplied on a three month loan to a major semi
conductor facility in order to assist in upgrading their current
RO pretreatment system. New filters where necessary because the
existing filters, constructed in April 2006 are committed to being
used offshore on a sulphate removal facility.
September 2006 - Avista Technologies will be exhibiting at Aquatec,
for the fourth time. We will be showcasing our new range of environmentally
friendly chemicals, including EDTA-free cleaning chemicals and
a biodegradable antiscalant. Representatives from the UK, the
USA and Spain will be in attendence, together with distributors
from many countries.
April 2006 - Avista Technologies have constructed three pilot
media filters for use as troubleshooting and design aids. The
filters are 150mm diameter, and can be fitted with a range of
suitable media. A photograph of the filters is here.
These filters add to the range of pilot equipment Avista can offer,
which includes a 4" RO plant and a 2.5" RO plant.
September 2005 – Avista Technologies will be exhibiting at the
IDA Conference in Singapore. Representatives from the US and UK
headquarters will be on hand to meet you.
May 2005 – Avista Technologies will be exhibiting at the EDS
Conference at Margarite in Italy. We look forward to welcoming
you to our stand.
February 2005 – Avista Advisor 2 is now available for download
from te web. The updated version of Advisor is now available to
download or on CD on request. The update now includes a section
on cleaning recommendations as well as providing further antiscalant
information. A new feature allowing customers to import data from
a number of different sources has also been added and the printout

Dec 2004 – Dan Freeman joins the UK operation to strengthen our
laboratory support services. Dan is an applied chemist whose previous
role testing antiscalants for desalination makes him an ideal

October 2004 - Avista Technologies launches a new product catalogue.
In addition to the technical data sheets for the entire product
range, the catalogue now includes an extensive technical support
section giving advice on a wide range of plant design and operation
matters. The catalogue is available by contacting your Avista
Technologies representative, or is available for download by following
this link.
September 2004 - Avista will be exhibiting at the forthcoming
Aquatech show at the Rai, Amsterdam. Avista have exhibited at
Aquatech every year since being formed, and will be at the same
stand as previous years, Stand: 04.402
July 2004 - Avista Technologies
has been awarded ISO9001:2000 certification for all it's activities.
The chemical manufacturing facility has been accredited since
Avista commenced manufacture, this certification now covers in
house services such as membrane cleaning, membrane autopsies and
other laboratory work.
April 2004 - Avista Technologies (UK) Ltd have moved their workshop
to new premises. The expanded area has allowed further investment
in research and development, including a state of the art microscope
for surface analysis and a 2.5" pilot RO plant which compliments
the existing 4" system. Click here

September 2003 - Custom Tanks Extending our drumless delivery
service, Avista Technologies, now provide pressurised supply tanks
for 'high pressure' drumless delivery. These tanks will be safely
discharged to your stock tank using air. This allows the feed
lines to be blown clear of product and eliminates any risk of
contamination from liquid pumping equipment. A picture of these

October 2002 - Avista Technologies complete two succesful exhibitions
in two weeks. Following the Mulheim exhibition, Avista Technologies
launched a new range of cleaners at Aquatech 2002 in Amsterdam.
June 2002 - Avista Technologies launch the latest version of
the Avista Advisor software. Available on compact disc, or downloadable
from our website, the software has been designed to be simple

April 2002 - Fiona Finlayson joins Avista Technologies. Fiona
joins us from Weir Westgarth, where she was a senior process engineer
